A brief guide
to being here.
Your ticket gets you in. Everything else can begin with hello.
Reception has heard this before.
Is this an actual conference or a Halloween party?
An actual Halloween party wearing a very convincing conference badge. Expect music, DJs, dancing, talks, exhibits and performances inside an interdimensional professional-development seminar. You can take your character extremely seriously. The Institute certainly will.
Where and when do I report?
Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Entelechy on Salt Spring Island. Check the Humanitix event listing for the latest arrival information and ticket details. The program office will publish the timetable when confirmed. All times, once issued, will be local to this planet.
What should I wear?
Dress for an important conference in your home dimension: alien executive, astral intern, sentient weather system, visiting expert on elbows. A lanyard, a department name and a deeply held misunderstanding of Earth can do a great deal. Elaborate costumes are welcome; arriving as yourself is also valid.
Do I need a character or a presentation?
No. Listening, wandering, dancing and meeting people are complete forms of participation. You do not need a backstory, an accent or a PowerPoint. Nobody will require you to improvise a keynote.
Can I arrive on my own?
Yes. A delegation of one is a delegation. “What brings your department to Earth?” is an acceptable opening line. “Are you using this chair?” has also performed well in field trials.
How do I present, exhibit or perform?
Use the open-call application to tell us what you want to bring and what you need. A proposal is reviewed before a program slot is confirmed. Applying does not include admission; the form explains the presenter ticket link.
Can I help make it happen?
Yes. Join the ground crew and choose the teams and availability that suit you. The organizers will follow up to confirm assignments. The form is an expression of interest, not a surprise employment contract.
What are the rules of interdimensional engagement?
Ask before touching, photographing or involving someone in a performance. Accept a no without requesting a higher-dimensional interpretation. Keep costumes and props considerate of the bodies around you. Telepathy is not consent, even if your department insists it sent a memo.
What if I need specific access or arrival information?
Use the organizer contact option on Humanitix for venue access, transport, age policy or other practical requirements before booking. The reception desk is better at a direct question than an assumption.
Who is the Institute, exactly?
The Institute for Terrestrial Integration supports resident personnel with the difficult business of being here. Established in 1968; still working on the coffee machine. Consult the Director’s circular or the illustrated 1983 Earth Integration Manual. Both assume you intend to stay for a while.

There is no exam at the end.
The Institute is interested in your presence. Your competence can develop over time.
